Lab Pads

The only website in the UK devoted to selling blocking pads to the optical trade.

Some of you may know me from my many years at Specsavers and then my time with Birmingham Optical as their Project Manager. Having used my contacts and spent a great deal of time researching for the best quality and most economical blocking pads, I believe I have found them and am pleased to offer them on our website.

At Lab Pads, we grew the business by word of mouth and have never advertised in any media. It was by offering the best pads, at the best price, with the best service that we grew. We have a very simple pricing structure and always give FREE delivery regardless of order value.

Lab Pads supply edger pads for most of the common lab edgers including all Nidek machines and the SE1. We also supply pads for the Essilor edgers including the Niksia as well as Mr Blue and Mr Orange together with Weco, Huvitz and Briot brands of edgers. All our pads are correctly sized for each brand.

We have been able to expand and now sell a much wider range of consumables including screws, nose pads, cloths, threadlock, edger blocks and much more.

To help even more, no credit card is required, you can order on account and, subject to our agreement, we can open an account for you.

In May 2022, we forged a very strong partnership with General Optics who are a top class multi-million dollar optical company based in Miami, Florida in the United States. This increased relationship has meant that we have greater access to huge stocks held in our European warehouse and have a direct input into production and processing.

We are pleased to announce that Lab Pads is now the official distributor in the UK for General Optics range of edger pads. This means that as well as having large stocks held in the UK, we have quick delivery shipments from our huge European warehouse.

With this relationship in place, we can now work with wholesalers, suppliers and distributors in the UK to produce own brand edger pads.

  • The larger your quantity order, the cheaper the roll price, helping you to save even more
